Daring Wine Company is a collaboration between two Virginia wine industry veterans - Megan Hereford and Jocelyn Kuzekla.
Megan got her start in the Virginia wine industry many years ago after graduating with a Masters Degree in Food Science from Virginia Tech. A lover of clean, bright, and lively wines she holds a particular passion for the wines of Northern Spain and Portugal. She is always searching out wines that have excellent balance and show the best characteristics of the varietal and style of winemaking. Megan’s career and travels have allowed her to develop a deep love of our growing wine industry in the mid-Atlantic as well as most of the Iberian Peninsula and Italy. Megan also holds a WSET Level 3 Award in wines.
Jocelyn is a winemaker, cidermaker, grower, doer, consultant, entrepreneur, dreamer, and mother to two beautiful humans. She has 20 years of experience in wine making in the US, Italy, Australia, and New Zealand, and 12 years of experience cider making in the US. This practical understanding is built on a strong science foundation- a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and a master’s in oenology. She started in the wine industry as a cellar rat as her worked her way up the ladder through dedication and passion.
